Well hello there. My name is Lacey. I’m 23 years old and just recently moved to San Diego, Ca. This is a lifestyle blog that I created after graduating from college a few years back. My intention back then was purely for a hobby, something to work on, something to keep me accountable. My focus for this blog has changed as I have grown, been humbled, encouraged, challenged, built up and torn down.
Runs and Roses is a place where I can share my thoughts on how to live a healthy, well-balanced life. I don’t believe in fad diets, unnecessary elimination of foods, or excessive exercise. I think health should be a balance of exercise, nourishing your body and your mind, as well as being positive and finding beauty in this crazy world we live in.
I grew up in a smallish town near San Luis Obispo, Ca and moved just 90 miles south to Santa Barbara where I studied Biology at UCSB. I love learning about health, nutrition and overall wellness. I would love to pursue a career in those areas.
Above all I am deeply in love with Jesus and how he has radically impacted my life. I hope this blog can be a reflection of that. Also I have a golden retriever named Cora who is the love of my life. I LOVE cooking and creating new recipes with people in the kitchen. If I’m not making food, I’m taking pictures of my dog, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops with my boyfriend (Hi Cody), running on new trails, or trying to deepen my relationships with those around me. I invite you into my life, the good and bad, in hopes that me being real can help some of you through whatever life stage you may be in. I hope for this blog to be a breath of fresh air in this crazy world we live in and to encourage YOU to live the lives you were created for.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
